Get Regular Checkups And Negotiate Hospital Charges
Preventive care is better than emergency care, so we do regular check-ups of our bodies from a reputable lab. Time to time, they offer a discount & check their package for a discount. Request the doctor to avoid unnecessary investigation & prescribe essential check-up only. Enquiry about community health centres because they do the same test at a low cost compared to a private lab. In India, many hospitals or labs offer special discounts to senior people, so don’t hesitate to inquire about this offer. Try to visit a charitable or missionary hospital; they are known for affordable care with good facilities.
Use the Government Health Scheme For Senior Citizens

The government offers various health schemes for seniors, like
- Ayushman bharat(PM-JAY)
- Senior citizen Health Insurance by the state government
- CGHS: If you are a government retiree, you can avail of free or subsidised treatment, which will help us to save money on medicine and healthcare.

If you stay fit, mentally and physically, that means you save money on medicine and healthcare. You stay fit, which means you are going for a morning walk regularly, doing stretching exercises regularly and maintaining your diet. After 50, this routine is very necessary because your health and money are both important. Staying fit boosts your morale to compete with full energy. Your healthy lifestyle reduces dependency on medicine and doctors.

Use Health Apps, Search for online discount & Purchase Medicine in Bulk
Your smartphone save money on medicine and healthcare. Download apps of Pharmeasy,1mg, and etc. Compare the price &search for a discount because these companies time to time, give discounts for senior citizens. Always make a profile in your name & age. If your medicine is for long-term use, then purchase it in bulk because you will get a low price that will help you save money on medicine and healthcare.
